This new cookbook celebrates the legacy of one of Oklahoma City’s foremost bastions of Irish cuisine and culture, Sean Cummings Irish Pub. From Beef and Guinness to Shepherd’s Pie, all the staples of a pub dinner are represented here to be attempted at home. Not one to compromise the pub experience or “Americanize” his food, Sean Cummings strives to recreate it just as it would taste on the other side of the Atlantic. Join us before and during the signing to sample some of his dishes and learn about the hard work that goes into running a successful pub that stays true to Irish traditions.
Sean grew up with a father from Galway (a city in the western province of Connacht, Ireland) eating things like Colcannon, bacon, leek, cabbage, and potato mash. His restaurant is a celebration of that heritage and an expression of his love of Irish culture. The establishment champions authenticity, from the way the food is prepared to the musical performances.
