Navigating Suffering with Jennifer K. Clark

June 10 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

With suffering as her compass, a Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician takes us on a journey through the difficult terrains of fear and shame, ignorance and judgement, isolation and longing. In doing so, we are given a choice to see these painful experiences differently. Vital to human development, these sufferings reveal the direction we must take to progress through the milestones of dependence, independence, interdependence and transcendence. Guiding us through lands where storytelling meets science and mystery embraces material, Dr. Clark empowers and encourage us to “Suffer. Suffer, well.”
Dr. Clark is an allopathic physician who has practiced Hospice and Palliative Medicine for nearly twenty-five years. She is the medical liaison at Clarehouse, Tulsa’s home for dying people and a board member for the Omega Home Network, a non-profit organization that fosters development of community homes for end-of-life care.
