Jim Willis signs “The Long Pivot Home”

April 4 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

In the spring of 1995, Luke Jarrett is a journalist on a journey from heartache to heartache. As he deals with the recent loss of his wife, he lands in his hometown and is soon beset by an even greater tragedy: the Oklahoma City bombing. In reporting that story, he releases his own pain and finds strength in the resolute way fellow Oklahomans work through their pain to help each other in this time of public grieving. But the PTSD takes time for everyone to overcome. New challenges lie ahead after the smoke has cleared. The journey to healing is not over yet. Not for Oklahoma City and not for Luke Jarrett.

Jim is an Oklahoma native and retired journalist. The Long Pivot Home is his 22nd published book. He holds a PhD in Journalism from the University of Missouri. His previous work was Tinkertown: A Wheatfield, an Airbase, and Us. That book told the story of Midwest City and TAFB, and it spent two weeks on the Oklahoma Bestsellers List in June.
