Even if you don’t know Hal Smith, there’s a good chance you’ve enjoyed a meal at one of his restaurants. Born in Ardmore, Hal began his career in restaurants while a student at the University of Oklahoma. Since then, in his more than 50 years in the industry, he has held commanding positions in multiple household name restaurant companies and opened more than 500 restaurants.
Born in Broken Bow, Bob has written more historical non-fiction books than anyone else in history. He earned a law degree from Oklahoma City University and received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from OCU and a BA in journalism from the University of Oklahoma. His more than 130 books have won many awards.
