The Death Penalty in America: A Night of Education and Action

Presented by the ACLU of Oklahoma and Amnesty International.

Join members of Amnesty International in writing letters and signing Christmas cards to prisoners on death row and filling out urgent action petitions. The letter campaign will begin at 5:30 p.m. and recommence after a presentation by author Corinna Barrett Lain, author of Secrets of the Killing State.

At 6:30, KOSU reporter Sierra Pfeifer will interview Corinna about her revelatory new book about lethal injection in America. Secrets of the Killing State pulls back the curtain on the death penalty and how it is administered, revealing ghastly details that state governments have sought to hide. Following remarks, there will be an audience Q&A and a signing.
